Federal Statistical Office
The Federal Office of Statistics offers extensive data and statistics on the Federal Republic of Germany. These statistics, to the extent that they are related to persons, are mostly broken down by gender and sometimes by age and profession as well.

The services offered by the Federal Statistical Office include the Online Information System of the Federal Health Montoring System. This contains extensive information relevant for health issues, which can be downloaded in the form of tables that can be individually structured as well as graphics and texts. The data are mostly differentiated in terms of gender, age and region. Here you can find instructions for using the database (in German).


Europe:

Eurostat Data Shop Berlin
The statistics of the European Data Service are provided in the first instance by the Office of Statistics of the European Community (Eurostat). The data are extensive, mostly broken down by gender, and sometimes by age, profession and education as well.


AMS Austria (German link)
The Austrian Employment Market Service offers detailed up-to-date data on the employment market, the unemployed, trainees and apprentices and the like, always broken down by gender, and in many cases also by region, age, nationality or profession.


International:

Statistics Sweden
The Swedish state office of statistics offers very detailed data in various areas which, to the extent that they relate to people, are always broken down by gender, and sometimes also specifically by region, age, marital status or education. Many data can be called down for certain periods of time.


Statistics Canada
Statcan is the Canadian state office of statistics and offers extensive data that are mostly broken down to a great extent by gender, and sometimes by age, education, income, marital status and region.
